Over Time
The Township From 1875 speculation grew as it appeared that the proposed railway from Port Pirie to Jamestown would be extended through the Hundred of Mannanarie to Yatina. In August 1872, Samuel Robinson added to his previously allocated land by buying section 69 of 177 acres for £177.0.0. In 1877, Mr Robinson apparently saw the potential for a more centrally located township, and had a portion of section 69 resurveyed for subdivision. In November that year it was reported that a railway line was surveyed through Mannanarie to Yatina. < Previous - 1 2 3 - Next > |
